Air Screamers - Flying demons which resemble the pre-historic Pterodactyl, thought up by Alessa from her favorite book, The Lost World.

Groaners - Rotting dogs which attack by lungeing and biting.

Nurses - Found in the hospital, nurses from Alessa's memories of being hosptialised, they attack using a scalpel.

Doctors - The same as the Nurses, but a male doctor.

Gray Child - Demonic, gray (To suggest theyre dead) children who carry knives. They make a groaning/mumbling noise as they attack which is the sound of childs laughter slowed down. The Gray Child was censored from the PAL version of the game, however they can still be seen in the PAL Demo.

Claw Finger - Small monsters with large claws for hands. They replace the Gray Child in the PAL version.

Blood Sucker - Found in the hospital. A large worm which sucks blood. Can be distracted by offering it a blood sample...

Stalkers - Semi-visible ghosts. They resemble small children. They do not attack, they just appear and make a squeaking noise. Their presence causes the radio to emit static, however if you shine your touch light on them they disapear.

Creepers - Meerly a large cockroach. Can be killed easily with the most simple of weapons.

Hanged Scratchers - Found in the sewers which lead to the lighthouse. Can be hard and irritiating to kill.

Split Lizard - Fought beneath Midwitch School, the split lizard cannot be harmed until it opens its mouth to attack you. Only then can you pump its head full of shotgun shells.

Larva - A immature form of the later fought moth.

Moth - Conjoured by the memory of Alessa's insect collection. (Can be seen at the end in Alessa's room, Moths are clearly visable.)

Cybil Bennett - Fought in the LakeSide Amusement Park. She becomes posessed by a paracite which controls her and forces her to attack Harry. You can either kill her by fighting, or cure her by throwing the "Red Liquid" found in the hospital on her.

Samael - The God of Silent Hill. Dalia Gillespie impregnated her daughter, Alessa, to give birth to this creature. Only seen in a partiular ending. If you do not fight Samael, you will alternativly fight Alessa/Mother of God. The ending is determined by wheather or not you investagate Kaufmann and save him from the monster just before the Lighthouse.

Alessa / Mother of God - The result of the merge of Alessa and Cheryl. Only fought when you do not investagate Kaufmann before the lighthouse.
