Silent Hill Origins Weapons

In Silent Hill: Origins pretty much everything and anything can be used as a weapon against the monsters of the town. They range from the classic Steel Pipe and Pistol to a TV or a Toaster. Obviouslt throwing a TV does a large amount of damage, a huge amount in comparison with a pistol bullet. However, you can't keep them forever. Toasters and TVs are one time use only weapons , meaning they smash and you can't pick them up again once you have thrown them. Weapons such as pipes and polls will last a few hits but will eventually break as well.

Breakable weapons reminds a lot of people of the terrible weapon system in Silent Hill 4, however its not quite the same. In Silent Hill 4, if you had a golfclub, beat a ghost with it and it broke rendering it unusable you would have to return to the apartment and put it in the box, even though it was broken and you could never use it for anything. In Silent Hill: Origins, Travis takes the initiative of throwing away the useless, broke weapons.

Weapons seen so far in screenshots or trailers current consist of: knives, sledgehammers, hatstands, TVs, Toasters, pistols, shotguns, machineguns, fishing poles, 2x4, hunting rifle.
