SilentHillOrigins.com (100% unofficial!) are giving away one copy of Silent Hill: Origins to one of our members in assosication with Playstation3UK.Net.
Since the release of Silent Hill: Origins is drawing closer, we're giving away copy of the game for free to one lucky member who wins this competition. The decided competition is a Silent Hill story, made up completely on your own. Of course you can use inspiration from the games, comic, movie, whatever. We are looking for the best, most convising (i.e. could possibly be the premise for another game) Silent Hill story. In order to win, you must follow these simple rules:
- You must be a forum member to enter.
- You must have 100 posts to enter.
- At least 500 words, preferably more.
- Entry must have good spelling and grammar.
- Cannot be too similar to the games, e.g. being SH2's storyline with names swapped around.
- All new characters and monsters must have a bio, or at least a detailed description.
- Don't rip off the games in terms of characters or adapting existing storylines, try to be creative.
- One entry, per person.
- If you get help or do it together with someone you will only win one copy between you.
- If your writing is plagiarized you will win nothing and the prize will be given to the next best person.
- We reserve the right to refuse you the prize or your entry at any time for any reason. (E.g. bad behavior after/before winning etc)
- Delivery details and such will be detailed after the winner has been chosen. You will have to provide a valid address and contact details to have the game delivered to you.
- Closing date is 30th November.
There's no particular theme other than Silent Hill. Send your entries either to me (Furin) via email titled "Silent Hill Story Competition Entry" or just PM me with the same thing.
Things to note:
You will be rated on creativity, monster design, character design/development, descriptions, endings etc.
Judging:
I, Furin along with a friend of mine from outside of the forums (Also a Silent Hill fan) will be judging all the entries which will decide the winner. If the event which we cannot decide a winner we will turn to the community to vote themselves.
So get writing! There is no closing at as yet so take your time. Any change in rules or dates will be updated on this page and the closing date will be announced on the forums and on the front page of both SilentHillOrigins.com and SilentHill5.net. We'd also like to thank Playstation3UK with helping advertise the competition.
